Myers Plants & Pottery, located off of Highway 31 in Pelham, was founded by Chuck Myers 40 years ago in 1971 as an antiques and jewelry shop. Throughout the years, the shop changed its focus to plants including both annual and perennial flowers, as well as other landscaping plants. Today, Myers is a full-size nursery, selling a large variety of plants, fountains, pottery, wrought iron, statuary, lawn care products, and unique gift items. The shop is open from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday, and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday.

When looking for fresh fruit and vegetables, Myers can be hit or miss. It may be a good place to pick up some fresh food if you happen to already be looking for any of the other various items they sell, but the shop does not always have fruit and vegetables readily available. They do occasionally sell fruits and vegetables, but it is not a primary focus of the shop, so they do not always have them in stock. Fresh, seasonal food is sold as it is available and your best bet for finding it in stock is during the Spring and during the Fall when fresh pumpkins are also available. There is not any clear or particular sources for the fruit and vegetables that are brought in from time to time. Some may be locally grown while others may be grown elsewhere.

Despite not keeping food available at all times, Myers Plants & Pottery can be an excellent resource for those interested in growing their own fruit and vegetables at home. Myers keeps a large variety of seeds available for purchase year-round as well as gloves and hand tools for gardening. The shop is also staffed by knowledgeable workers who can advise and guide those wishing to start growing their own fresh fruit and vegetables through the planting and growing process.
